The Role:

Currently, we are seeking a Junior Software Consultant to guide clients through the pre-sales process, accurately quote and complete development on integration/software projects. A successful candidate must be able to commute to our office in Chobham, Surrey, full time and work remotely from home, if required.

Personal Qualities:

Proven experience in programming (must be able to show and explain a piece of code that the candidate has written, in any language)
Capable of self-organised learning to teach themselves new skills and concepts
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written in addition to good interpersonal and customer care skills
Excellent telephone manner
Motivated, adaptable and dependable at all times and able to manage their own time and prioritise effectively
Willingness to take ownership of tasks and responsibilities
Prepared to be flexible and take on tasks which are outside main responsibilities
The ability to explain clearly, even complicated ideas, to a non-technical audience

Key Duties:

Development of translation maps and processes to enable integration of 3^rd party systems
Working with new and existing clients to determine technical and business requirements for development projects
Listening carefully and gathering clients’ requirements accurately to assist with building the correct solution according to their actual needs
Conference calls, virtual meetings and in-person visits to new and existing clients
Creating quotations for new projects
Creating and confidently delivering technical presentations internally and externally
Answering and logging calls/emails received

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate would have a minimum of one A-level (or equivalent) in an IT-based field, however, this is not essential, if experience in a programming language is proven.

Moving forward:

The successful candidate will be put on a probation & training plan. Upon successful completion of the probationary period, a full-time, permanent position will be offered.
