The Role:

We are seeking a Pre-sales Technical Consultant to manage the pre-sales process and work with clients to determine requirements for new IT projects. A successful candidate should be located or be able to commute to our office in Chobham. There will be the option to work partially from home at the company’s discretion.

  • Ability to cope under pressure, to manage their own time, and prioritize effectively

Key Duties:

  • Working with new and existing clients to determine technical and business requirements
  • Ensuring that all necessary information is collated comprehensibly prior to suggesting or producing a solution for the client
  • Suggest adaptations to client’s existing business processes to facilitate automation better
  • Conference calls, virtual meetings and in-person visits to new and existing clients
  • Working with developers to determine the feasibility and realistic timeline of a project
  • Working with account managers to quote accurately for the work to be done
  • Create and confidently deliver technical presentations internally and externally
  • Answering and logging calls/emails received
  • Helping customers to fill in set-up forms, such as to connect them to retailers
  • On an ad-hoc basis: basic IT support of PC usage for other members of staff
  • Listen carefully and gather clients’ requirements accurately to assist with building the correct solution according to their actual needs

Skills (required):

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Flow chart design
  • Windows 10
  • Web Browsers (Chrome, Firefox, IE, Edge)

Skills (desired):

  • Experience using an ERP system
  • Project management

Knowledge (desired):

  • EDI (Electronic Data Interchange)
  • Data integration
  • Knowledge of supply chain business document flow

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate would have a minimum of one A-level (or equivalent) in an IT-based and/or sales field, however, this is not essential if experience in technical concepts is proven.

Moving forward:

The successful candidate will be put on a probation & training plan. Upon successful completion of the probationary period, a full-time, permanent position will be offered.
